BUREAU MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Bureau of Correctional Enterprises (BCE) is to enhance public safety by providing jobs and training for inmates which develop marketable skills and experiences in financially viable businesses, producing quality products and services to our customers.

Badger State Industries and Correctional Farms sales continued at a high level despite budget reductions experienced by state agencies, our main customer base.  The last operating private sector venture with the Fabry Company was terminated as a result of the company significantly reducing its production capacity.  A new Quick Copy Print shop was opened at the Racine Correctional Institution, replacing the closed data entry industry.  During the year, over 1.5 million pounds of electronic equipment was received by the computer recycling program and diverted from landfills.
