JUVENILE SEX OFFENDER MANAGEMENT TRAINING
The Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Division of Juvenile Corrections (DJC) is offering 1˝ day training sessions on juvenile sex offender assessment, treatment, and community-based management at NO COST TO COUNTIES. The curriculum is designed to benefit front-line county workers who supervise and case-manage juveniles who have been referred to juvenile court for a sexual offense. The training sessions will be led by Stephen Gilbertson, psychologist for the Milwaukee Wraparound program.
Topics to be included in each session:
The training is a product of a federal grant DJC received in the summer of 2003, a large part of which is designated to provide state-funded training for county and state workers who manage juvenile sex offenders in the community. For more information on this grant, or training contact Courtney Endres, Juvenile Sex Offender Program Specialist/Sex Offender Management Grant Coordinator, DJC at 608-240-5915 or email courtney.endres@doc.state.wi.us
