New Superintendent to lead Kenosha Correctional Center

Secretary Frank names Ann Krueger,
who is moving from Ellsworth facility in Racine

KENOSHA – Wisconsin Department of Corrections Secretary Matthew Frank today announced that he has appointed Ann M. Krueger to be the new Superintendent of the Kenosha Correctional Center.

“Ann Krueger is a talented, energetic professional who brings a wealth of experience to her new role with the Department,” Secretary Frank said. “I am confident she will be a fine leader at Kenosha Correctional Center, where each year hundreds of offenders spend their final months of incarceration acquiring job experience and other skills before they complete their sentences and are released to the community.”

Krueger began her career with the Wisconsin DOC in 1990 as a Sergeant at the Robert E. Ellsworth Correctional Center (REECC) after stints with Economic Security, Health and Social Services, and the Department of Corrections in Arizona. During her 15 years with the DOC, Krueger has worked as a Social Worker at Racine Correctional Institution (RCI), Kenosha Correctional Center (KCC) and REECC; a Social Service Supervisor at Southern Oaks Girls School (SOGS); Assistant Unit Supervisor and then Unit Supervisor at RCI, Taycheedah Correctional Institution (TCI) and Dodge Correctional Institution (DCI); Program Supervisor at DCI; and REECC’s Superintendent, a role to which she was promoted in September 2005. Krueger earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Carthage College.

Krueger replaces former KCC Superintendent Dave Andraska, who became Superintendent of Black River Correctional Center in September 2006. Her appointment at KCC took effect Oct. 1.
