Victims of Juvenile Crime Can Register

The Division of Juvenile Corrections has been providing crime victims of juvenile offenders with notification and information services for a number of years. Victims of juvenile offenders can enroll with DJC for notification of release and escape. In addition, victims can be as involved as they would like in the DJC Going Home Project, a project to assist serious juvenile offenders in successfully returning to the community.

In order to provide easy access for victims, DJC has set up a toll-free number that victims can call if they have questions or concerns. This toll-free number is also available to families of juvenile offenders. The DJC toll-free number for victims and offender families is 866-792-6677.

"We are committed to providing victims with information and support and this is a step in the right direction", said Jim Moeser, DJC Administrator.

The DOC Office of Victim Services and Programs provides information, support and advocacy to victims of adult offenders and also serves victims of any crime, State or Federal that occurs in Wisconsin. OVSP has two victim advocates who are available Monday through Friday by calling toll-free 1-800-947-5777.
