KCC was opened in 1990 and is located in a residential and commercial area in the central city of Kenosha. Inmates placed at KCC are primarily from southeastern Wisconsin. Most inmates will be released to that area of the state.
PROGRAMS The main program at KCC is work release. Upon arriving at KCC, inmates are expected to work at an institution job or project crew. Inmates also perform community service while at KCC. After completing a monitoring period, inmates are approved for work release. While on work release, inmates pay room, board and transportation charges.
